Take the time to find your isolated corner of the Salt desert to take surreal photographs. You'll also see the salt hexagons which are geometric shapes on the surface of the salt flats and piles of salt. Continue on to "Ojos de Sal", the salt eyes, located along the edge of the Salt Flats and are the exit points for the subterranean rivers flowing under the Uyuni Salt Flat.
As you continue on you'll visit Playa Blanca, a former salt hotel and now museum of salt where you can enjoy the salt sculptures inside. Afterwards, continue onto the tiny village of Colchani, where you will learn the process of extracting salt by hand and then browse the local salt handicrafts and textile art. Your first stop is the Train Cemetery, located just outside Uyuni to explore the ruins of dozens of antique train cars. On arrival at Uyuni Airport, you will be met and begin your adventure to Salar de Uyuni, the world’s largest Salt Flat.
